Dear Dutch Fork Band Family,

     First, let me say that I am truly honored and humbled to have been chosen as the band director at Dutch Fork High School. I know that together we can continue the traditions of excellence that have been established and work toward new achievements and make new traditions too. I look forward to meeting all of you and becoming a member of your band family. I am including the dates for band camp below. Please make all of the necessary plans to be present. I will also be spending time at the band room this summer getting ready for the upcoming band season. Please feel free to drop by and introduce yourself or even just to say hi. Although, most of the communications you will receive in the coming weeks will be concerning marching band, please know that my number one priority is music. Music will be the center of our activities including marching band, visual groups, and the concert groups, as well.
 

July 28th and 29th –8-12 noon    Pre-Camp -Band leaders, all percussion, and all Dazzlers

July 30th, 31st, and August 1 – 8-12 noon   Rookie camp -All band leaders, all percussion, all Dazzlers, and all Rookies

August 4–8       Full Band Camp – All members of the Silver Spirit Marching Band

August 11–15   Full Band Camp – All members of the Silver Spirit Marching Band

August 19         Full band rehearsal – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
                                                            5:30 PM  Parent show at

8:00AM-12:00 noon: Outdoor marching rehearsal
12:00PM-2:00PM: Lunch Break
2:00PM-4:30PM: Indoor music rehearsal
4:30PM-6:30PM: Dinner Break
6:30PM-9:00PM: Outdoor Rehearsal

After school rehearsals will be 4:10p – 6:45 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of all regular school days. These rehearsals will begin on Thursday, August 21.

I look forward to many years of success and enjoyment as the Dutch Fork Bands continue their growth and development into one of the premier band programs in the Southeastern United States.
